How To : Apply Fake Eyelashes

It’s Lau. And today I am going to show you how to apply fake eyelashes. At one point or another everyone has struggled with putting on eyelashes, only last year did I learn how to apply them.

I want to give you some tips and tricks on how to apply them.

How To Apply Fake Eyelashes

So, when it comes to eyelashes, there are many different styles. As you dive into it more you’ll find out what suit’s your eye shape.

Start of with cheap eyelashes

There’s nothing worse then starting off with fake eyelashes and you ruin a great pair. In Superdrug, there are fake eyelashes for £1 or £2. These are good to start off with.

Cut it to your eye shape

The lashes are always too big, cut them so that they don’t start poking your eye in the middle of the day.

Good eyelash glue

If you don’t have a good eyelash glue, it will never stick. Duo lash glue is good and the Superdrug own brand one is too.

Don’t move it around too much.

When you’re putting on the lash, the worst thing you can do is move it around. Wait until the glue is tacky and it will make your life a whole lot earlier.

Squeeze your real with your fake

Always mush together your lashes with the false ones. It will make a seemless blend.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. My Eyelashes are pin straight. How do I get them to blend into my falses?

The answer is a little easier then you think. My sister has pin straight lashes, they won’t curl or do anything really so the trick I found when doing her makeup is put them on the lashes. If you can’t blend your lashes into your the fake, blend the fake into the lashes. That way it’s seemless.

2. What brand of eyelashes would you recommend?

Eylure is a really good brand, particularly these ones. I love these ones.

I think I will this post here. Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post.

2 Colourful Eye Looks That Anyone Could Do It

It’s Lau. And today I will be showing you two eye looks that anybody could do. These two looks are really effective, and stand out. If you do try out these looks, I’d love to see them!

2 Colourful Eye Looks That Anyone Could Do It.

1. Subtle but with a twist

This look is my favourite out of the two, I like how it isn’t crazy complicated and also looks great.

2. Peacock Look

It is very colourful and has a really cool fade of the colours. I went for orange eyeliner instead of black to keep in the theme of bright colours.

I used cream colours and bright eyeshadows, and to create the purple I laid down a dark navy blue cream eyeshadow and then on top of it, a bright pink eyeshadow. Blending it out as well.

That’s it for this post, thank you so much for reading, you can follow me on Twitter if you’d like; @HonestlyLau

I’ll see you again soon.

Blogging Chat | With GrlBehindScreen

Hello! It’s Lau and today is another Blogging Chat, where me and another blogger just talk about anything and then post it to this blog. This series will be going up once or twice a week, I’m all for anyone wanting to do this with me, if you want to then contact me on Twitter (@HonestlyLau).

Today’s guest is GrlBehindScreen. She is a really cool blogger, her blog and twitter are at the end of the post.

Without further or do, let’s begin this blogging chat.

Me : We will start off just talking about blogging? What sort of people have you met through blogging? And have they all been great?

GBH: Oh my God. A lot. I have met a lot of people and they are AMAZING. Honestly, the blogging community is a great place, meeting and have fun, get to know about each other, it’s all so great.

Me: I agree, there’s really no one that doesn’t fit in. We are all so lovely to eachother.

GBH: I know, no such unwanted politics, you know? And everybody interacts with each other, it’s just so nice.

Me: It’s definitely not like that offline. There are so many people in our everyday lives who isn’t that nice.

GBH: I know right?! Whereas, people in the blogging community are quite alike, and we tend to get along with each other.

Me : We all have the same passion! Not all of us have got along though, I’d imagine.

GBH: I know?! I mean, blogging is writing and writing iIS most of our passion. People in the blogging community not getting along with each other? That’s a rare case.

Me: I’ve seen a few examples before but I won’t name anyone. Overall mostly everyone gets along and thats all that matters.

GBH: Yea. It’s a small world, the blogging community.

Me: But each individual is great. Some I’ve made really good friends with.

GBH: Yea, it’s a great way to get to know about people from other parts of the world too.

Me: Yes, like me and you for example!

GBH: Yea!

Me: I’m going to ending the post here anyway. Thank you so much!!

GBH: Your welcome! 🙃 So happy to do it with you.

Hello! It’s Lau. On Twitter, I did a poll of what you would like to see (if you’d like to follow me, it’s @HonestlyLau). You decided that you’d like to see me draw, so that’s what I did!

I love drawing, it’s a passion of mine. It took me a while to come up with something to draw, however, I saw a while ago a digital drawing. It looked so good, I don’t have an copy of it, nor do I know who created it but I really like it.

I didn’t do it digitally, because I’m not quite sure how to do it, but here is mine.

I hope you enjoy!

I only used a variety of different graded pencils, they are all sketching pencils. I could of coloured it, as that would of made it significantly better but I didn’t have any watercolours so that was out of the options.

I do like how it turned out, outlining the drawing with a black fine tipped felt tip pen would of made it stand out.

I really hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading and I’ll see you soon!

Introduction – Hello!

Hello everyone, welcome to the beginning of this rather random blog. Why random? Well, I won’t be sticking to one theme, for example, I want to do fashion, makeup, hair..and I will dabble in the outside of beauty things.

As time goes by, you’ll get to know me more and maybe you’ll trust my opinion on products and what I think. For this post, I just want to tell you a little bit about myself.

So, here are:

5 random facts about me

1. I am 17 years old, 18 in a few months.

2. When I was younger, I was very obsessed with reading and writing my own stories. I guess you could say it inspired this blog.

3. I’m in college learning media makeup. For a long time, that’s all I wanted to do but now I’m not so sure.

4. I live in Britain, particularly in the south.

5. I am very artistic. I love to dance, draw and just create.

I hope you enjoyed my very first post, as I said in the beginning this blog doesn’t have a theme so if there’s anything you’d like in particular for me to write about, whether that is a new product or completely random and you just want my opinion then you can contact me via twitter, email or just in the comments.
