Beneath The Blog

Hello, it’s Lau.

For the most part of this year, I’ve been silent..very silent. I didn’t ever intend for this to happen.

Last year, I was posting weekly and devoting all my time and passion into creating a blog I was proud of..And I did that. I can look through all of my posts in 2018, and I can see passion..so much passion. I was determined to make Honestlylau something I’d do for a lifetime, but as 2018 was ending, I got side tracked with just life.

I felt like I had no time for blogging, but in actual fact.. I had all the time in the world. I lost the motivation to create content, I have endlessly created and deleted posts because every idea I came up with, just wasn’t good enough.

So, through 2019. I stopped. Without another thought, I left this behind and started being an adult. My whole life changed around and blogging was just not what I wanted to do anymore.

Till one day, I deleted the app. But I never wanted to delete my blog, that was my game over. Deleting it would of been hours of dedication thrown away just because I lost motivation. And who knows if I would of gained it back later on. Months down the line, I could of rekindled this motivation and have this blog going again.

And that’s what I’ve done today. Rekindled my motivation.

This time last year, I lost my motivation. But now, I have it back and I hope you will join me.

Thank you.

Lau.

Christmas Pamper Session – Blogmas #9

Hello!

It’s Lau. And welcome to Blogmas Day 9. And today I wanted to do a Christmas Pamper Session, it’s like every pamper session but if you stick Christmas on the front of it then it looks better.

Anyways, if you’d like to see how to have a Christmas Pamper Session then keep on reading.

———————————————————–

Christmas Pamper Session

So, a pamper session is about feeling relaxed and just pampered. A sense of refreshment and tranquility.

The first step is a warm bubbly bath, it’s relaxing for everyone.

After the bath, it’s time to get into something comfortable.

And then it’s time for skincare. Cleanse, exfoliate, oils, moisturiser..ect. A face mask, anything to make you feel refreshed.

You could paint your nails, get a hot chocolate.

It’s about you that evening, so do anything you want.

That’s about it. Thank you for reading.

The Best Christmas Movies – Blogmas #8

Hello!

It’s Lau. And today I want to talk about the best Christmas movies to watch.

There are many Christmas movies that we watch at Christmas time, but what are the ones that really put you into the Christmas spirit?

If you’d like to find out then keep on reading.

———————————————————–

Best Christmas Movies

There are a lot of favourite Christmas movies, and you’ll see a lot of old classics here but also some unfamiliar ones that you might like.

1. The Grinch (2000)

Old classic. Funny. And just outright entertaining, the original classic is a great family film that I highly recommend but if you wanted an animated, doesn’t really follow the storyline then go for the 2018 movie.

2. Santa Claus The Movie (1985)

This is an old movie, that I watch with my dad every Christmas. It seems a bit boring at first but then you get more into it as the film goes on, or you get even more bored of it..your pick.

3. Elf (2003)

Really great movie, a great family movie and if you’re anything like me, you’ll have it on repeat just because it’s the only Christmas film you truly like.

4. Home Alone (1990)

Again. Classic. Really makes you laugh, and again a great family movie.

5. Deck The Halls (2006)

Pretty funny movie, I can’t say it’s family friendly but it’s a good movie if you want something funny to watch.

And that’s about it, thank you for reading.

I will see you all tomorrow.

Christmas Memories – Blogmas #7

Hello!

It’s Lau. And welcome to Blogmas Day 7. Today I want to talk about Christmas Memories, particularly my memories.

I have quite a few memories from around Christmas time, it’s really the only time of year I feel truly happy, but anyways, today I want to share with you my Christmas Memories.

I hope you enjoy.

———————————————————–

Christmas Memories

My Christmas’ has always been quite a nice time, every year I’d see all my family and everyone has their favourite cousin so they’d all go and play together whilst the adults talk about adult things and I’d stand awkwardly in the middle because I don’t know which one I am.

Anyways, I have vivid memories of walking back home from seeing them and just looking at all the Christmas lights and then I saw Mars up in the sky. I don’t know why that has been stuck in my head as a Christmas memory but I remember it so well.

Other memories are, last Christmas on Christmas Eve. I remember sitting on the sofa with my dad with a Christmas hot chocolate in my hand watching a Christmas movie that my dad watched when he was younger.

I have small memories that don’t really mean much to someone else but they were part of my Christmas and will forever be cherished.

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed.

I will see you all tomorrow.
