It’s Lau and todays post is nothing like I’ve ever done before, I want to really get in depth about life as a blogger and make a documentary out of it.
There will be parts to it, I want to interview a lot of people so if you’re up for it then please let me know.
So, without further or do.. Lets begin this adventure.
Life of Blogging Doctumentary
To start this story, we should really know when did blogging first come about? Who created the first blog?
It was even called a blog at first, it was called ‘Personal Homepage’ and Justin Hall first created Links.net. I actually wanted to include him in this post to ask him some questions about blogging.. So I actually tried to contact him and I didn’t get an answer back.
Before I get onto talking to other bloggers, ex bloggers and active bloggers I want to talk about my experience.
I haven’t been blogging for very long but for the last 5 months I’ve really learnt a lot about blogging, life outside of blogging and the other bloggers. It’s very safe to say that blogging is always on my mind.. “What should I post?” “Should I go out in the pool or do some blogging stuff?”
That was a genuine thought I had today and I chose blogging because I love it. It’s very much my first priority. Around my second month of blogging, I wanted to get a plan. I thought it would make me a lot more professional because now my URL doesn’t end in “wordpress.com” instead it is “.com” and I love that aspect of it. Of course, because I’ve upgraded to personal.. now my mind id on premium. I always want the best for my blog.
Now that I’ve rambled on, I want to go onto other people’s experiences.
Diary Of Ellie
I asked a few questions and here are her answers.
Do you find yourself checking your stats a lot? Her answer: I check my stats a lot, probably more than I should!
How has blogging made you feel? Has it made you feel frustrated at time? The only ever times I become frustrated with it is when I’m trying to photograph products for posts and when I can’t get the shot I like it annoys me so much.
Do you feel part of the community?I’m pretty much always feel included in the community and I love it!
What is life like outside of blogging? For me, I’m always thinking about what post I should do next? I tend to make a lot of ‘real life’ decisions based on blogging so if I see a new makeup product I Like, I think about whether it would make a good blog post, although I do have a life away from blogging I think they’re both slowly integrating into one.
I asked her a few questions. Here are her answers;
You’re anonymous. Have you ever had any moment of panic where you thought someone knew your identity? Oh 100% — when I first started, I gave away so much information about myself that it was crazy. Looking back, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone found out – but if they are then they’re doing a good job hiding it😂I wouldn’t mind becoming unhidden but I don’t know, I like the mystery.
What’s the lowest point where you wanted to quit? And have you ever written that post but stopped yourself? I’ve actually never even thought about quitting – I mean, sometimes I can’t be bothered to type up posts (hence the spelling mistakes) but I love to share my life with my followers and I love hearing their feedback so quitting is the last thing on my mind right now.
Have you had a hate comment? If so, did it affect you? I’ve never had one – I mean, spam can be pretty weird but that’s about it. I think even if I were to have one, it wouldn’t affect me because everyone is bound to have an opinion and there’s no stopping that.
If you could change one thing about the blogging community, what would it be? People just blogging for the sake of being popular. I think there should be a goal or a reason as to why you’re blogging – not just to be a cool kid if that makes sense?
This has turned into a really long blog post, so I’m going to end it here. Look out for Part Two of this documentary post.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you all soon.
