Best Highlighting Palette Ever?!

It’s Lau. And recently, I bought the Sleek Soltice Highlighting Palette, it is apparently an amazing highlighting palette so today I want to test it.

I want to test the pigments, wear time and is it waterproof?

Without further or do, let’s test it out.

When I first opened this palette, my first impression was that is very beautiful. You can really see the glowy-ness of the highlighters in the pan.

They look so glowy and looks like it has a potential to be brilliant. So I did some swatches, and I had mixed views.

The golden shade looks the most disappointing, it hasn’t got much pigment and has no real glow factor to it, however the others are beautiful.

The purple one is my favourite, following closely behind with the champagne colour. There’s three powder highlights and one cream. The cream isn’t bad, it’s a little too dark for my skin colour but it’s still beautiful.

They wipe off a little too easily but they are beautiful on the face. From far away it is really great, and up close is just as good.

Now to put it to the waterproof test.

A few moments later.. it did well. It didn’t smudge or wear off.

And lastly, I wanted to see the wear time. So I approximately wore it for 6 hours, it did wear off but stayed on fairly well.

And that’s the end of the review. Thank you so much for reading.

And I will see you all soon.

Soph x Revolution Palette Review

It’s Lau, and it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I do have an explanation for this, I haven’t had any internet since last Tuesday. I’m really sorry about that between this time, I have collected a few makeup products which I am excited of them being the Soph x Revolution Palette.

The Soph x Revolution palette was created by a Youtuber called SophDoesNails and I have been watching her for a while, before she came out with this palette. She is part of the Revolution team, making frequent videos for the Makeup Revolution Youtube Channel.

And now onto the review;

I picked up this palette at Superdrug for £10, the colour selection is well put together.

And onto the quality of the shadows, the metallic shadows are very pigmented that you wouldn’t even need to use anything to make it more pigmented. The mattes are easy to blend and are also very pigmented, it is very fair to say this is my new favourite palette.

The mirror is big and very clear to see any imperfections which is a pro and con.

But overall, I love this palette and will be using it again.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed.

And I will see you all soon.

Binky London Mascara Review

It’s Lau and FINALLY I am diving into the makeup side of things. Today I will be doing a review of Binky London Mascaras and comparing them to other mascaras.

I have both of them which are the volumising one and the waterproof, I will be putting them to the test.

Is it actually volumising? Is it actually waterproof? Does it last all day? Does it hold a curl?

If they work really well, then you can save some money because they are only £2 each.

So let’s get into this review.

Right off the bat, the mascara tube is really bright which could be actually really easy to find when looking for it.

The wands are pretty standard, the volumising one (bright pink one) is a little bigger. One thing I do have to say is it is really wet, the formula is really wet which I can’t see it doing much for your lashes.

The waterproof one seems to have slightly a better formula, it isn’t as wet.

Applying the volumising one was a little difficult, it doesn’t add any lift at all which I expected with the wet formula. Also it will get everywhere, even if you’re being really careful. It might be good if you wanted a natural lash without much lift.

The waterproof one gave a lot more lift, maybe I’m just clumsy but I got this one everywhere as well it isn’t as bad as the other one though.

I do recommend this one, but do they last all day?

The answer is yes. For me they did. The waterproof one lasted a lot longer.

I don’t believe that the waterproof one is quite as waterproof as it claims to be.

They’re only £2. It is good for the price but I know a £1 mascara and it’s better then both of them.

I think I’ll leave this review here. Thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed.

And I will see you all tomorrow

Top 5 Drugstore Foundations

It’s Lau. And today we are going to talk about the Top 5 Best Drugstore Foundations which are sold in Superdrug or Boots, for us in the UK.

Without further or do, let’s start.

These are in no particular order.

1. Revlon ColorStay

I talked about this in another post but this is a very good foundation. It has a medium coverage and very light weight. They have the ColorStay foundation for different skin types.

2. Rimmel Match Perfection

This was one of the first foundations I ever tried, its on the border of a medium coverage. Overall, it’s a good foundation.

3. Makeup Revolution Fast Base

I have talked about this one A LOT, but it’s the foundation I’m the most drawn to right now. It is full coverage but as I’ve been using it I’ve noticed it doesn’t sit that well on the skin and I use it very quickly. I mix two shades and use F1 to highlight.

4. Rimmel Wake Me Up

I used this years ago, it has a medium coverage and is lightweight. It also has a fresh scent to it so that’s a plus.

5. Collection Lasting Perfection

Other then the matching concealer being really good, this is quite a nice foundation. It glides on and is light weight so you don’t really feel it. I used it for the summer.

And that’s it for this post, tell me in the comments what foundations you recommend from the drugstore.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you all soon.

Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation : Review

Hello! It’s Lau and today I have a review for you on the fairly new foundation from Revolution.

I saw thediaryofellie do a review on this and I also really wanted to try it out.

went into Superdrug and bought this, it was only £5. And they have a fairly good shade range, the lightest is really fair so if you’ve been struggling to find a foundation that matches then look for the shade F1.

I however would be that shade if I didn’t have a tan. I fake tanned yesterday so I’m darker then normal. I went for the shade F5 which is quite orange but I can easily blend it down with my tan. Its not that noticable.

F3 and F2 had a very pink undertone, I actually thought F2 was purple.

I found it really easy to blend. I used my Real Techniques sponge and it blended perfectly. It glides on and the product isn’t sucked up too much by the sponge. I really like that it is really creamy, and there’s a fair amount of product so you won’t run out fast.

The shade isn’t that far off, it looks really orange just from a swatch but when you apply it on the face it seems to match quite nicely. Or I’m just really orange, that’s cool with me too.

On camera, when you’ve finished applying it and then powdered it. It looks flawless. Your face looks honestly airbrushed.

Would I use this foundation again?

Yes. Absolutely! It’s got amazing pigment and blends easy, and last all day.

And it’s only £5!

That’s the end of my review, thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you all soon.
